 MEC for safety and security Mr.  Mxolosi Dukwana brought good  news to Matjhabeng during the  pass out parade of Matjhabeng  Local Municipality Traffic  Training College.
 

 


 

 
     

  Matjhabeng Local Municipality incorporates Welkom, Odendaalsrus,   Virginia,   Hennenman, Allanridge and Ventersburg with a combined   population of more   than 500 000 people (Census 2003). The economy   of Matjhabeng Municipality  area centred on mining activities located  in   and around Allanridge,   Odendaalsrus, Welkom and Virginia.  Matjhabeng   is the densest area with 495   people per square  kilometre.

BUDGET FOR 2008/2009 People and service delivery driven

The budget for 2008/2009 tabled by Executive Mayor Mathabo Leeto, signifies growth, development and hope in the future of Matjhabeng. Matjhabeng Local Municipality’s Operational budget for 2008/2009 is R1,022,119,949 and the Capital budget totals R 139,681,762.
